​

Attracted by the culture and traditional arts carried along the Silk Road,

Erika Fuki, searching out the roots of ancient art through her fieldwork on tribal and aboriginal art across

the African continent onward to Japan,

is inspired by her understanding of astronomical harmony and the elements of the nature.
Currently concentrating on her research on East Asian traditional arts,

in order to dig deeply into the relationship between people and fabrics of silk and plant based cloths,

she is actively creating collaborative works with craftsmen and dyers.
She is also the owner of  "Keikamisho" -a traditional folk house in Nagahama in Shiga,

organizing daily events with the objective of harmonizing body and heart in order to have a life close to nature.
